Rise of the Tomb Raider : Compete with Friends

We know that Rise of the Tomb Raider will not have Multiplayer Mode , but there is something new for this game..but what ?

Crystal Dynamics says today that in Rise of The Tomb Raider you can " Compete with Friends " , but in what sense ?

Let's check it :

Microsoft said at VideoGamer.com that you can Compete with other Friends to " Extend the single-player campaign "

And they also said that :

" In this coming weeks and months,stay tuned for more infos of Rise of the Tomb Raider,including how players will be able to extend their single-player campaign and compete with their friends "

What do you think about this ?

I Remind you that Rise of the Tomb Raider will be out first on Microsoft consoles November 10th
(America) . 13th November (Europe) , beginning of 2016 for PC and end of 2016 for PS4
